Become a professional yoga teacher or study to deepen your individual practice and understanding of yoga. A 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher training provides a strong foundation for confidently practicing and safely teaching yoga. We will offer you opportunities to make discoveries through self-inquiry and experimentation in connecting to mind, body and spirit. The class provides personal growth opportunities and assists your developing a deeper level of self-awareness.
Anyone can take yoga teacher training. Yoga Alliance 200 hour criteria covers a broad scope including the 8 limbs of yoga, the physical, the breath, meditative practices, energy systems, philosophy and history, teaching methodology, general anatomy and physiology. Teacher training includes daily yoga practices, lectures, discussions, and personal experiential work. Yoga teacher training requires your attention, focus, practice, inquiry and objectivity. We encouarge the development of your authetic being and are nondogmatic to a set of standard sequences, religous beliefs, or rigid methodology.
Bienestar encourages the sacredness of teaching and understanding of courage we need to teach. To become a teacher is to have been on a journey of learning, to have a deep knowledge of your topic and a great desire to share it with and inspire others. We limit each program to 8 students so that can provide you all with personalized attention. At the end of this program if all practicums are completed you will be qualified to join Yoga Alliance as a RYT200 and will be
ready to begin your journey as a teacher.
This Intensive 28 day program, meets 6 days a week for 4 weeks for over 200 hours of in-person training. The teachers at Bienestar are all certified to the highest level of the profession, have years of experience and are also mostly certified in additional healing professional practices at Masters Degree level. You will find very few programs this dedicated to your education across all the practices
We take care of you from your arrival onward. Free private shuttle for the group from the airport SJO to Uvita and provided again for your return. Dietary plans to meet your requirements, Gluten free, Dairy free, Vegetarian, Vegan and/or Occasional chicken & seafood. Home cooked meals of mostly organic local produce.
Private rooms, or shared rooms for two, bikes to get around town, free laundry on weekends, provider lists and reservation opportunities to local therapies, (including massage, physical therapy, energy healing, etc..)
Small pool and located on the Uvita river for fresh water swims., approx 20 minutes by bike to the national park (paid beach). Within walking distance of cafes, coffee houses, pharmacies, groceries and more.

Class Demographics - open to men & women 17 - 70+ (the majority are 25 - 32 female and in or working on a graduate school degree in a healing occupation) and we do have more men attending each year.
Certification - Bienestar RYT 200 when complete approved by Yoga Alliance and may join the organization as a 200 hour certified instructor.
Instructors - Careing Professionals with 5 - 23 years of experience in their professions and teaching experience.
